Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetMy guess is no. I have an eight-year-old, and she’s far more interested in Webkinz and the Disney properties. These kids are growing up much faster, and neither she nor her friends are still playing with Barbies. They call them “baby toys.”

Mine is through MyOpenID, though, so I was on before this Clickpass thing took off and haven’t really bothered to check it out because I am lazy. ;) I use it for any and all sites that accept it with the exception of anything that uses financial or other personal information. Those I have a separate sign-in for. It definitely reduces the number of passwords I have to save, but I’m still at about 140 new accounts over the past year.

Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetI'm not buying this one. I do have two children with developmental issues, and with one I NEVER used a cell (didn't even own one) and with the other it was rare. This is the same freakout that occurred over microwave ovens. I'm more concerned about the power lines all over my yard that the kids are exposed to constantly than my cell.

They are claiming that chat is used with every user account, even accounts that are abandoned. There are also many of us who either refuse to use it, or use an unsupported browser (like Camino). I’d like to see the actual numbers of how many active users are utilizing the chat.
Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetSomeone really needs to explain to me what has happened in the world to change it so much that developers would wet themselves at the chance to be tied to a specific API and language and not be able to port their app if requirements change or service is subpar.
