Apparently, you were not in a group with your closest friends. Since you were a guest of someone, I can understand how you feel. I once went to a hostess party for another subject, not knowing them well, was met with the looks that you arent buying anything.
However, if I attend a party of my closest friends, I am never met with disappointment. A lot of the time it is having the number of bodies show up, so the Demonstrator will be happy with the turn out.
Yes, I do believe the Demonstrator looks for sales and is more of a go getter than the actual hostess. After all, these are the hostesses friends and family.
I happen to love partylite and will not only be attending the party, but I will also be placing an order for friends that cannot attend. My girlfriends are extremely excited about this party. This also gives all my friends I have had for over 20 years to meet one another.
The hostess doesnt care if I personally buy something. She understands my predicament. No one will look at me because I am making a purchase for someone else.
Problems solved. I love parties of all kinds. It gives women a chance to meet one another and once the ice is broken you are good to go.

Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetAppreciate the kind words guys. The plugin definitely needed the re-write. Feel free to hit me up on twitter with any questions [justinshattuck] is my identity there. However, contact-form and comment threads still work very well.
In addition, if you have a feature request, etc or even a plugin idea, let me know!

Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetAlisterCameron: Hey mate, the plugin has been re-written (again) and seems to be functioning quite well, might giving me a shout as to what you think of the modifications and performance?
I’d appreciate any bugs anyone finds, feel free to hit me up.
Thanks in advance, let me know.

Reply | Original | Permalink | Tweet@D. Rey: Hey boss! Gave the rules of engagement a quick skimming, which actually turned into me reading and analyzing the list. I must say, you have some pretty well written thoughts here, however I would have to say that with the proper pay-to-post opportunities, the natural opinion of a blogger can still be left in tact.
It is the same with your campaigns of sponsored discussion per se. The influence is still there, but the blogger(s) need to recognize not to just write about absolutely anything for a quick buck.
We’ve experienced these types of scenarios frequently with MTBTrailReview, however we do not tackle paid postings, more so we encourage companies to start a relationship by giving back to our readers: send us review products, merchandise, and all that jazz. It has shown successful for us because we get to give the shit away and it also allows our companies to make some sells from our already well placed Google Results!
Keep this content flowing sir, lovely read!
Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetA few years ago I ended up having one of those mid-day spews with the girl, it wasn’t any ones’ actual fault.. I guess it just kind of happened. Either way, I made it up with eight dozen roses.. it was on Valentines day too, ended up working out pretty well.
Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetOh, I guess I need to be more specific… Qualities I cannot stand in a girl:
When she cannot seem to make plans or decide anything. Indecisiveness is completely annoying, just say, “lets go see a freaking movie,” and tell me WHAT, WHEN, WHERE for the movie and lets see what happens.
I cannot stand the chase chase chase shit. If you call me, I don’t answer.. don’t call back multiple times hoping to get me to pick up. I am not answering for a reason, so therefore I likely will continue to not answer and texting me will just make me more frustrated.
Pay attention to what I am saying, and remember what you say.. nine times out of ten, I will remember what you say. (that goes for everyone.)
Have some self-esteem and strength to yourself, otherwise I am going to not want to be around you; I need someone at least on par with my experience, knowledge, emotions, etc. If you are more emotional then I can handle, I likely won’t talk to you.
Since we are talking about women who are nuts… If you are nuts! Just tell me, I would much rather take you to the doc and get you some pills knowing you are trying to be not-so-nuts, then listen to you complain about how you are not crazy and stop calling you crazy (Amanda ignore this, I know you are crazy already..)
Don’t give me everything at once, I will ask when I want to know
I like to leave voicemails from time to time.
I do not like it when you just say uhh huh, yes, no, etc… be intelligent and let’s use our big girl words!
Yeah that is a lot I am sure, I have loads more.
Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetWow, the things I could say in rebuttal to this.. I will let your mind wonder since you like what you like, but you have some good points.. But I disagree a bit too.
I think a big part of some womens’ issues with not getting “what they want,” is they don’t pay attention. Just pay some attention to other things once in a while and not watch the dude’s shoes!
Oh and this stuff, it would only work in an idealistic world. However, there is no perfect scenario and not a single person is like the other. I am set in my ways and typically it is my way or the highway, with a tad of room for opinions.. but mostly not. I don’t seek the approval of my ways from women and that is something I will search for in one (not having to approve of what I do..)
But then again, blah blah blah bersha bersha bersha is all I read. Where did this jazz come from? Sorry I already had the tickets, but ROGER will still buy them!!! haha
Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetStaying positive, good thing you released it — there are hundreds of example content packs going around the web these days, have been for ages - but none that really fit well.
I created one I use for my clients, but not as brave as you to release it! Kudos +1 point!

Reply | Original | Permalink | Tweet@David: Wonderful plugin, looking forward to giving it a try; however I am concerned if it will support multiple authors? Essentially, I am going to use this on a website that has about 12 authors. I want to include it in their author profile page, i.e. yourdomain.com/author/justin/ which would be the default author template.
I could throw it into a loop if they're viewing the profile for justin to use THESE feeds, etc.
If not, how up are you for developing a version that would hook into the "User Profile" and allow for supporting multiple authors and hook into the author template?
Reply | Original | Permalink | Tweet@ibspoof: You mean you have THE internet in Oklahoma? I’m in Tulsa too but we have to run down to the pole and connect the cables to the telephone line; then we take turns tapping a pedal to send the data across. If I’m all hyped up on RedBull, I can get about 1.3bps. It’s pretty sick to watch man!
.. cox.. ulgh
