Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetI just hope that nothing is going to happen to the service, because a unlimited storage of pictures, with fast servers, useful tools and a classy 2.0 interface, and all that for free will not be easy to find out again… I just so love it… please make things right Newsboys!
Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetI am the proud owner of a MacBook Pro, and being a switcher (fervent PC defendant for years) i have to honnestly say that i have not felt deception since i own an apple machine (MBP being the top notch one though!). PC no longer does it for me…. But coming back on the RAM issue, i have to say that having now 1.5G instaed of the regular 512M (I have the 1.86Ghz version) DOES MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE. I is like nght and day (without PhotoShop, but simply with iPhoto6 for instance).
To wrap it up, and while it is hot (like the MBP and MB btw), Apple new product are a very great deal, as long as Price tag is affordable for you.
See you.

Though on a more broad view, the telecommunication sector (apart from the handset word) is in total consolidation. As you mentionned Nokia with Marconi but also AlcaCent (ALCATEL LUCENT) are the big consolidation. But so many smaller consolidations are also happening under the radar (Cisco, Alcatel, Huawei…) when the big guys pay a big price for a small niche company.
The landscape of the TelCo world is about to change drastically not only for pure technical reasons (3G/Wimax/IPTV..) but also for economical reasons (price pressure from operators, scale economy, market share…)
In 2 words, today wont be tomorrow and tomorrow is another day :-)

It was supposed to be in a close range of Flickr… High storage capacity (up to 2G free), same functions (tags, albums, sharing, blogging… all free) and possibility to do basic photo treatment (resize, effects…). My only regret, is that it might still be a bit complex and lack of intuitivity. But definitely worth a shot! What do you think?
Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetHi guys,
Unfortunately, i one of the best RSS reader had i disappear a little while ago. IT was called searchfox (closed down and bought by yahoo…). The superb features of this one (on top of the regular ones) was to have an extremely well done RELEVANCE algorithm. It was learning what you liked. Simply great. I used it for over a year, but got dropped. So now my quest for my perfect RSS reader had search again. I tried ALESTI (www.ALESTI.org) which is a no-fuss-nofuzz kind of RSS reader (extremely speedy!!) but got myself back to Rojo. I had NewsAlooy for awhile but the speed isnt great. So i guess i will have to wait fo Yahoo to release the YahooFox stuff…

Do you have any idea hy they are closing down (financing? anything else? - I have already tried to contact Esteban Kovacs for some answers) and secondly, do you have in your web2.0 cardboxes anything similar as Searchfox?
