Interesting points that you make. There are alot of things more that the iPad could do. Yet I still plan to get one and have it as my companion when relaxing on the couch.

Couldn’t be more excited about this and similar developments in Atlanta. Hope they get many and solid applications.

Good post man. I use textmate and might fall into that category who doesn’t know its powers. I am gonna check out that book and figure out what else Textmate can do.

@Stalwart - No, I don’t think it’s worth buying unless you have a large number of fonts to manage. I used this program pretty intensely when I first got it but haven’t really utilized it recently.

Looks cool. I wonder why they spent the first 2 minutes of the video showing us the “old way” of taking screen grabs. They should have just dove right into their app.

This app would be very useful but I don’t think I’m going to shell out $20 for it and I would need to since the FTP upload is what I want.

I think that's right and Atlanta 2 was proof of how successful SW and Barcamp have been in building the local community.

Learning was the best part of my experience at SW. I learned alot about startups: technology, legal and otherwise.

Not related to this post, but your blog has been really slow loading for me. Perhaps WP-Super-Cache could speed things up?

It’s cool that the weekend was about building something, not about getting stock in something that would make them rich. I saw that on my team and others as well. It was refreshing to be around folks who just wanted to build something meaningful regardless of what they would get out of it.

I’m excited to see how Givingti.me evolves and hope to be able to use it both as a consumer and as a volunteer.
