Interestingly, Haskell is a case where having no parens makes sense. Arguments are always separated by spaces. Since functions truly only take one argument, it is relatively easy to parse how things are applied. Whereas, at least from my non-informed perspective, it's not as straight forward in Ruby. Are parenthesis only optional if you have zero arguments? The lack of consistency in the implicitness bothers me.

I'd like to point out, this also works great for me with my T-Mobile G1. I use a Google Apps for Domains for my personal domain. All of my contacts, calendar, and e-mail are automatically pushed/synced with my phone whenever any changes are made elsewhere. No set up, no worries. :)

Right now my hero is my mother-in-law, Ann Henson, who donated her kidney to me last Friday. That selfless act has extended my life and already given me a quality of life that invigorates me.

Question for you all on this. I'm about to have a kidney transplant. I'll be on immunosuppresants (very heavy for the first 90 days) and thus I will be very susceptible to anything -- colds, flus of all kinds, etc. It will be a matter of life and death for me -- so I know that when I'm in public for a while, I'll probably have to wear a mask. Is there anything I can do to discharge this disdain that is natural -- I'm not an over-reactor, I just need protection from everything.

I've been using the Chromium nightlies on Linux and I like how fast it is. Once Firefox 3.5 is released and Chromium is released, I'll have to do some serious consideration which is the better browser for me. I would like certain plug-ins -- delicious and flash-block in particular. I'm very interested, however, in the new plug-in stuff (JetPack) that is coming along in Firefox, so I don't want to abandon it just yet.

It would be interesting to have a "play-back" feature for Wikipedia showing the history of edits and comments (on the Discussion pages) for a Wikipedia article.

Two examples: [Resolver One](http://www.resolversystems.com/) is a spreadsheet that uses IronPython [Blender](http://www.blender.org/) is a content creation suite that has Python as a scripting language.

And my G1 has this great feature that it's not an iPhone. :)

It's really bad news for me, as I'm only 4'6".

Amen Aaron! As an Free Software advocate, I believe that if I want people to honor the license I have chosen for my works, I should do the same for the licenses other people choose for theirs.Luckily there are slowly becoming means of getting music and other media online that is amenable to the artist and myself. I can buy DRM-free tracks on Amazon. I can stream and explore music on Last.FM and Pandora.

I would call Friend Feed and twitter "feed discovery engines" and "content discussion facilitators" rather than feed readers. I still use Google Reader -- too much in depth content and other things that I can't really get from FF.

I saw you in a Sears commercial the other day. "It's Felicia!" It's amazing how twitter and such have made cool people like you more real.

Disclaimer: I work for Mozy.I recommend you give Mozy a try. I've been a personal user of Mozy for a while too and found it to be great. In response to Gabe, Mozy does have a web interface that lets you view the files you have backed up and lets you selectively restore given files. We also have some other exciting stuff in the works.
