Glad to read the great things you have to say about the Nexus One. I’m still using the original G1. Can’t wait until I’m eligible for upgrade pricing on the N1.

I think from an OS perspective, Android has some serious advantages over iPhone. What I think Android needs to close the gap with Apple is to attract the type of designer/developer that is drawn to the iPhone in the first place. Also, publishers of popular iPhone apps really need to keep up with their Android versions (Facebook, Foursquare).

What time did the problem start? Any timeframe for resolution?

Sub Division? Wow. I ate there a couple times when I worked in the area…13 years ago! I was surprised they could stay open back then. Yet they are STILL around. I always figured the place was a front for selling drugs or something.

Best subs in Spokane? Maybe I need to give them another shot.

I was informed by Whole Foods (via Twitter) that they have no plans to open a store in Spokane in the next two years.

I’m glad because I would rather see Trader Joe’s go in. I am a member at Main Market but think that Trader Joe’s would be “healthy” competition as well.

Too bad. It would have been great to talk to another contestant. I ended up sitting down in the front row with Remi, Geneva, Becky and Moneeeq. It was a fun and interesting challenge. I'm excited to see what is in store for round 2.

If Laconica won't be powering it, who will? White-label FriendFeed?

I agree that the window for this project to be interesting is closing fast, that is why getting laid off happened at just the right time.

Thanks for the well wishes.

Secret recipes...I wish. I was thinking it would be cool for all of us to meet up during the week for a non-processed dinner somewhere like Mizuna.

The challenge ends at midnight on Saturday, so I'll be fine.

For the record, I went out tonight (Thursday).

A late night at work with no challenge-friendly food was my undoing. A gyro with fries for dinner, damn it was good. I’m guessing it’s going to be Andrew with back-to-back wins.

It wouldn't be local currency, just using a rarely-used U.S. denomination. Since it is rarely used, it would be noticed easily as it changes hands.

The key would be to get businesses to make sure to give out any $2 bills received as change for subsequent transactions. It doesn't work if the money just gets deposited into a bank.
