He might be entertaining, but I do not want to see a guy get so much media attention just because he is provocative and controversial. There might be a reason why he so much against the common scientific knowledge - he might simply be plain wrong, and hurt the climate case more than he helps it.

yeah saw that Link earlier - but as far as I have tried it it doesn´t work. I wrote Squarespace who confirmed that its not working, but that they´re working on it. Hope to get it back. Though please let me know if you have got it to work?

I have been super impressed with Squarespace in all aspects - except the commenting system, and its lack of modifications/ 3rd party support. Hopefully it will come some day.
Of course there´s Backtype, but Its a different service. And then of course JS-Kit,... would be interesting to hear other Squarespace-users experience on that one.
Cheers!

Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetInteresting! Have just moved away from Wordpress and over to a Squarespace platform. Unfortunately one of the few cons about Squarespace is a lack of Disqus support, so am looking for an alternative system. So far I guess it has gotta be Backtype, but will check out ECHO and see if works with Squarespace.

Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetTwitter search on #climatechange has now been added. Remember, to get only blogs and individual Tweets, and not Twitter # searches, search for: "-service:feed group:climate-energy"
Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetI was thinking whether or not I should include in the room the Twitter searches for #green and #climate. On one hand I thought it would be too messy as these are very popular tags, so other posts would simply drown. On the other hand I realized that a search term for: "-service:feed group:climate-energy" would give all blogs and Tweets except for the custom feeds (which I am using to import Twitter # searches). I still have figured out if #green and #climate would be too cluttered. What do you think?
Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetWeird: I have notticed that the search doesn´t always show the tweets if you search for individual Twittter names in the room. For example, if I only want to see tweets/items from the Carbonoffsetsdaily blog (Twitter name: CarnonNews) then I would search for: "carbonnews group:climate-energy". However, this search will sometimes only bring items when other items in the room has mentioned CarbonNews and not the tweets of CarbonNews themselves. I thought at first it was a matter of using small/large caps, but I realized it wasn´t. You simply just have to fickle a bit with the search term. If I find the exact search term solution I will update.
Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetWhy I chose Twitter instead of simply importing the RSS feed: Many of the blogs in this room could either be subscribed by their blog rss feed or by Twitter profile. I chose Twitter because 1) When you comment on a twitter profile in Friendfeed, you can Cc it to become a reply on Twitter itself - hence promoting interaction more than simply importing a RSS feed. 2) Some of these blogs are also active on Twitter and not just pushing out blog posts - again, promoting interaction.
