Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetJon, I’ve also tried that Ben and Jerry’s “caramel something.” I agree, it is good, but not the same as Caramel Coyote. In addition, don’t know if there are Food City stores in your area, but their Kay’s Brand Caramel Caribou is pretty good too. However, after searching and sampling far and wide, I’m convinced that nothing will ever match the Coyote.
Furthermore, seeing as this post is still getting comments nearly two years after I wrote it, I’m starting to think that it’s high time I print this thing out along with all the comments and go knocking on Scotty Mayfield’s door down in Athens, TN.
Reply | Original | Permalink | Tweet@david: That’s a great question. Unfortunately, I haven’t tackled that problem yet.
Reply | Original | Permalink | Tweet@Ashley Young: Yes, I did get your voice mail. Loved it! Looking forward to seeing you guys at Christmas!
Plus, I thanked you on Twitter for it. Check your @replies on Twitter to see.
Reply | Original | Permalink | Tweet@Jo: Not sure I understand what you are asking. However, this text messaging form has moved to QwikTxt.com anyway. Over there you can enter your message, hit send, and your message gets sent to your recipient. Only one text is sent.
@Everyone: I’m closing the comments on this post. Head over to QwikTxt.com to send texts from the web to mobile phones.
Reply | Original | Permalink | Tweet@Jon Z and @Sol – One other thing: I forgot to mention that the example I link to regarding my new technique is an integration of WordPress and ZenCart. I’ve been using it lately as its template system was easier to work with and my impression of that project is that it is better maintained than OSC.
Reply | Original | Permalink | Tweet@Jon Z and @Sol – I need to write a new tutorial as I am currently using a new technique for client sites that use WP and OSC. Here’s an example: http://www.logoandstitch.com/products/.
Instead of embedding WordPress, now I’m creating an OSC theme that loads the WP core via a require() statement. Then the OSC theme produces the WP theme around the OSC pages via WP functions like get_header() and get_footer(). This method works much better as changes to the WP theme automatically get reflected on the OSC pages.
Reply | Original | Permalink | Tweet@Pam – I just checked out your blog. So cool that you are online! Plus I see that you have an ETSY store. So cool! Thanks for dropping by. Glad to have re-connected via Facebook.
Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetEveryone, I’ve finally found time to fix my online texting form. In the process, I’ve moved it to its own domain. Visit Qwiktxt.com to once again send text messages from the web to mobile phones.
Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetA busy work load has kept me away from Knoxify for far too long. This piece was an excellent welcome back. I love the angle you took in this story. Great reporting and a nice piece. Good work, Laura!
Reply | Original | Permalink | Tweet@Aw Man: I hear you on that. I’m itching to get this fixed soon too. Fortunately, I’ve been very busy developing client websites lately. Hope to get some breathing room soon to give some love to this app.
Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetBeing a freelance WordPress developer, I’m happy to see that you switched from a Blogger powered blog to a WordPress powered blog. For one thing, I like commenting here much better than Blogger’s service. Plus, I’ll bet that you’ll find the backend much more efficient and powerful.
I’ve enjoyed your stuff through the years and was able to catch up with you again via a link from Tim Challies this morning. Looking forward to getting reacquainted with your posts. Already shared a couple of good finds on Twitter this morning.
Reply | Original | Permalink | Tweet@ladonna plott: I hope to take some time to look into this this weekend. Sorry about the inconvenience.
Reply | Original | Permalink | Tweet@Tracie: Nice of you to drop by! Hope you, Andy and your two little ones are doing well!
@Claire: Yep, does make it easier to keep up doesn’t it.
