It’s one thing I really miss when I go to church here. (Funny enough, the other is the start of the service, where the BAS uses The Grace instead of the “Blessed be God…” response.)

I’ve always been in favour of maintaining the Governor General and the Crown in Canada, but if this isn’t an abuse of Prime Ministerial authority that requires the Governor General to stand up to him and deny his request, I’m not sure there’s any reason not to abolish the position.

What may lag (at least in the short-term) is viewer interest, at least until they realize that The Daily Show is still funny.
