I use DropBox (http://getdropbox.com) to backup my files because it lets me keep a copy on my laptop and on their servers. I use http://tweetake.com/ once a month to grab all my tweets and save them off to a DropBox folder so they'll be backed up. All my Flickr photos are in my DropBox folders before they even get uploaded to Flickr, so I have a backup of everything I need except for Facebook.

my question is, why would you want another tool? I use Google Reader every day. Anything I want to read later I star, then I come back to it. If it's really good I share it, if not I can always search for it later in Reader. This let's me check from any computer and my phone -- if I don't have time to read something or if I can't get the page to open on my feeble Windows Mobile device, I star it so I can come back later.

Thanks for the advice Brian. It's so easy to forget about passion when you're thinking about paying the bills. Great reminder!

Ben, I know it's been years since we worked together, but you were always dedicated, knowledgeable, and a great person to work with. I wonder if you're going through a similar questioning of ability and experience like I am. If you need any help with your hunt or resume, let me know.
