Yes, after using Mozilla for years and years, Chrome became my default browser when these extensions started showing up because it is just faster and more trouble free on my laptop. But I needed tools and now I have both, no freezing and extensions.

I don't really understand hashtags. I have used them often and know what the concept is, but I am not quite sure how much they help with Twitter where you only get 140 characters to begin with. I would think most people separate their words by spaces. The average word is 5 letters and then there is a space. So a tweet contains on average 23 words. Monkeys typing on a keyboard and coming back with Shakespeare, impossible. A computer deciphering the meaning of 23 words, not. I have interacted with bots on Twitter that did. Requiring someone to remember this much information in a state of emergency is ridiculous. I mean, really. I forgot my social security number for a few minutes the last time I was in an accident.

I saw the new Star Trek movie. One of my favorites from last year. As far watching a movie for enlightenment goes, another movie is the Matrix, as long as you only watch the first one.

If someone saw this post randomly, they would think WTF. But for those who just ran into this issue like me, thanks. That sucked.

Nice, I like it. A lot crisper and cleaner with less distractions from the content.

One tool that helps with the old authority links, at least on blogs is Zemanta. Been using it for a while. It suggests them and you just click them to add.Stephan Miller's lastest..Canonical Tag Flying Under the radar?

As far as ecommerce sites go, it does work, especially if the site you are exchanging links with is a vendor with a brand name. Then, miracles happen.

The numbers seem to be all over the place now. Need some more votes. And Janette brings up a very good point.

Thanks everyone. I have neglected my post here a bit. Sorry about that. To answer Kpilist, we have all of our sites using the same account for Google Analytics, but different ones for Google Base since each Google Base account has to have a different domain. So another tip with your niche sites, create a Google Base account for each one and use it. With 2 sites and a Google Base account for each, you have the potential of getting 7 links per query. We have some of those sets of 7 links on the first page, which really drives out competitors.

I was fine with oscommerce until I ran into a lot of custom sites I had to build and most of the features I needed were built into Magento. Most oscommerce addons have to be cut and pasted into the default files, making any sort of rollback or core update a mess.
And yes, Magento doesn’t work well with shared hosting, but a dedicated host, for many companies, would be one of their smallest monthly expenses.

Most of my best posts start something like this. Instead of repeating “what should I write about” over and over again, I jump in and start. But I haven’t had time to write much lately. I do miss it.

Ann, WebMynd also searches Twitter and had a Bing search function that worked for me up to a couple of days ago but not now. But it also searches Delicious, Reddit and Digg, all from within the Google or Yahoo search page. It’s a firefox plugin: http://www.webmynd.com/html/

That’s pretty sweet. Finding people is becoming easier and easier. I really thought my name was more uncommon that it is, LOL.
