Why not be outraged about this instead…

Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetWell, you can tell where Erick is headed with his tweet (http://bit.ly/1ukjZi):
“@JasonCalacanis news trumps copyright, sorry”
Allow me to enlighten you, boy. Imagine if this was an image or video, the litmus test immediately says you have to respect the copyright holder. End of story.
The email was original content, whose author has asked you to take it down (for whatever reason). Do the right thing.

Or you could be a pencil. Yellow on the outside. Black on the inside.
Mwahahahahah.

My dream card would be a GPS aware memory card that is able to geotag RAW pictures. Wireless upload to local server would be a plus but only for extra points.

Couple that with his SSN, you can have a lot of fun at his expense (disclaimer: I personally have no intention of doing so but am pointing out just how stupid this notion is).
Hell, Scoble, why dont you publish your credit card number since it’s just another data field. The point is that privacy matters to a lot of people. It may not matter to YOU but it makes a difference to others.
PS. As to how I obtained Scoble’s DOB, Pownce is actually insane enuff to put this information in a FOAF file for you. Courtesy Leah Culver, here you go
PPS Since there are still plenty of security systems that stupidly use DOB as a security mechanism, having your full DOB widely available is a BAD idea. Besides, Pownce does not even give you the option to opt out. iJustine aka Justine Earzik 198x-3-2x. Scary huh?

Let’s try this in terms of rights. When I give you a piece of data like an email address, there is an assumption of how you will use it i.e. email me. If for example I am on Facebook but hate Google for some reason, you should respect the fact that I do not want my data on any Google servers.
While there may be an implict agreement when sharing data. an explict agreement/request should always override.
Capisce?

LV is tremendously profitable (have u seen the prices lately, plus they jack the price 15% each year). They have the resources to help and should. If they have any unsavory manufacturing practices, I say it’s great incentive to get that fixed too. I do like Beth Dunn’s suggestion of hosting a young artist scholarship etc. Turn a negative into a positive. That would be a marketing coup.

the reflection was not photoshopped. the image was curve adjusted but that was about it. but then again scoble decided his snapshots (nice use of words danny) couldnt compare and deleted my comments again.
boo-ya scoble. so sad for your lack of talent.

Just point Slickr at the AP photos feed. This definitely should not take 4 months to code. Verdict? YAWN or FAIL. You pick.Dave, try something truly groundbreaking for a change.
