Reply | Original | Permalink | Share | TweetI was all ready to say Barth and give my top 3 reasons but after reading the comments I feel like I would just be following the crowd. As much as I enjoy the social ethics of Hauerwas, Surely engaging with culture would become tiresome fictional reading on a desert island alone?

Natasha, I think the experience of using a mac will never quite devolve to Im a PC, but I do agree the whole glossy screen thing appeals to the more ‘Look at my expensive Sony Vaio’ crowd than the purists matte option.

Reply | Original | Permalink | Share | TweetJamie, Congratulations! How exciting, Ill be waiting to hear with baited breath how you get on with it. Enjoy the opening the box moment.
I would also say dont get too discouraged after a couple of days when the interface feels unfamiliar and foreign, there are some inevitable growing pains with switching OS, especially one you have probably used for over a decade.
Looking forward to your review!

My concluding thoughts are that a form of supra-existence allows Jesus' present reign to be from an eschatological future, though as you, I am willing to corrected.

Reply | Original | Permalink | Share | Tweet@Gray, Thanks for commenting, hopefully Ill manage to keep it included in our wedding service order!
I do realy like the song but the most common verse sung with itstarts:
“Sorrowing I shall be in spirit,
Till released from flesh and sin,”
Now I know you could argue for spirit to be new creation and flesh and sin to be what we are saved out of, but I think it gives the impression that we have spirits which will float off into heaven ‘above’ instead of bodies that will experience resurrection on a new earth.See versions here:

Reply | Original | Permalink | Share | Tweet7 Digital looks great! I have been looking for a cheaper alternative to iTunes for a while (DRM free that is) and they even have the new Kings of Leon album on pre-release for £5.00!
Reply | Original | Permalink | Share | Tweetthanks for the heads up, I am contantly breaking headphones, and hate the fit of the ones that come with the iPod. I used some good Sony headphones which weren't too expensive a little while ago called Sony MDR-EX71SLB which are about £15 are have god sound quality considering.

Reply | Original | Permalink | Share | TweetWow Thanks Mike, thats some seriously informed info. I think you should get prophet of technology industry awards! Really nice to hear from you..and especially in the realms of my blog!
Reply | Original | Permalink | Share | TweetI think the who instead of what is a helpful distinction in how we understand our identities, a distinction which describes the Christian understanding of vocation and personhood more appropriately.
With regards to slash jobs, although conceptually a very attractive option, I have only ever seen it done in two ways, neither which were particularly helpful. 1) 2 Job, 2 Full time, Overworked, quick to burnout, 2) One job that pays the bills, but feels very much like work, the other a preferential vocation which brings in marginal income compared to the former.
I would love to see it work though,
Liam

I had been hoping to meet him in person because I live in Aberdeen and knew he travelled here occasionally, I look forward to meeting him at the resurection. Prayers and Comfort to you and your family. Liam Byrnes
