You will be approached by people wanting use their guest post opportunity to slip in keywords for a client. This is where you read and have control over your content. For me, I tell people that my site is not their advertising ground unless they want to purchase advertising. They are welcome to put in their bio their site and a little about them, but it is not a place to upsell.

By the way, I work as a virtual assistant of The Healthy Moms ( http://www.thehealthymoms.net ), the site is fairly new and I thought I would drop by some mom and health related sites to spread the word.

Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetThe color looks great. I just keep with blonde, unless I get a wacky idea around Halloween time and use those sprays…lol
I hope the color lasts for you. Is there no way to maintain the color for a long time… does the permanent color stay potent. One of my friends does her hair and it always seems to fade and seems like at least once a month, she is freshening up her hair color.
Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetI hope so too :D I just go through a few times when I focus on certain things. Since I write alone, it was last year I noticed my site around 3 million in Alexa. I got it to 300K in 2 months. I stopped focusing on it and now started back up again.
Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetI saw your post on Seeded Buzz and I really do not talk much on the subject, but it was a great motivation. And why not link to your post. It is helpful and obviously you have worked on your site to produce good results rank- wise.
Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetI have not been working too much on my Alexa rating until about 2 weeks ago. It has gone from 179K o 140K. I actually have a goal to get it to under 100K by June before I go to WordCamp. For WPAddict, I have a goal to get it to at least 150K or better. Congrats on the great ranking. I actually use to run a fanfiction community that was 46K on Alexa.

Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetCongratulations on the great news! I have not heard from you in some time. I still have this one and many others. If you are on Facebook, add me. I am also still on Yahoo IM too :)
Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetThat would be false. The search engine is smart enough to document the category. If it matches another link that came up, then it is fine. HOWEVER, you really should not use the category in your URL for your article permalinks. That is usually what is probably meant in that.
Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetYou should probably keep the SEO plugin active.
However, when you do, the keywords you put in will override those tags. Your tags on your blog will end up becoming just another type of search feature. Some people even put a tag list on their search pages to help people find what they need.
So... you kind of need both.
Does that make sense?
Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetA lot of times they are highly associated with keywords, so they can be counted by search engines if you only use a plain tagging system rather than a SEO plugin.
Reply | Original | Permalink | TweetThe hacking was on the Twitter Grader, rather the Website Grader itself. As a web developer of a couple web scripts myself, there are always going to be vulnerabilities. Twitter always runs a risk because of its popularity. When I was a top 10 Yahoo! Clubs founder and cofounder before they merged Yahoo! Clubs and eGroups to form Yahoo! Groups), I had been hacked. The largest group I had was over 50K in members and the least on the top ten was over 23K. I was stressful because I was in college at the time. My only luck was that Yahoo! then offered phone support - which they stopped doing after all the mayhem. --------- I believe Lorelle does some podcasts and convention speaking. She is now a very busy woman and one I hope to meet at a future WordCamp. I would probably suggest sending her an email and asking her if she was going to continue blogging on her site. However, as I said, it may be because of her busy schedule. I still have no idea how Matt Mullenweg, God Bless his heart, has the time as he is also very busy. I cannot wait to Interview him in person this June at WordCamp Chicago.
