Hey Steve, thanks for noticing. The other thing about the site is the Filmaka videos - see if you can click on the one called "Father's Day." It shows a guy with messed up hair and a tie over his shoulder. This was the winning video in the competition - it was to be shown last night during the airing of "Knight Rider."

The MOV looks highly impressive. Tried Vimeo or Daily Motion? Both have an HD player.

Extraordinary quality and gorgeous New York street scene.

Very interesting but, as a sound guy, I found the breath sounds against the mic very distracting. Some pretty harmonies.

@oren: You actually offer free cards. Nothing wrong there. Your offer charges for shipping which is reasonable. Staples seems to offer 50 free, but when you get there it turns out that you need to buy 50 to get 50.

What's wrong with a teaser of 50 free business cards? it's legitimate move in the world of advertising and promotion. There are websites who offer much more and almost break the market. we, at http://www.dcp-print.com, offer 125 free business cards, 30 magnets, and some more products, and we believe it's fair enough.

I blogged about it here:

Staples: FREE 50 Business Cards, emailed Staples, and sent the post to local media.

Classic bait and switch. Just for fun, you should pursue and blog about it.

Very cool! That's a beautiful car. They should make cars like that again, I'm sure there's a market for them.

Hi Steve,

Long time since my last time here.
;-)

That blurb.com looks pretty cool. Now I only need to start writing more on my blog so eventually I can "make a book". haha.

Steve,

That was a really great present you gave to your mom, and all of us!

Thanks for holding up my book, BE THE MEDIA, in your post. It is an honor to be mentioned in the same clip with my heroes David Meerman Scott and Robert Scoble.

I met the CEO of Blurb (Eileen Gittens) at a Keiretsu Forum dinner in Marin a few years ago, when Blurb was starting out. She did a great job with the company.

Your post reminded me to include her/Blurb in the final offset version of BE THE MEDIA.

Thanks again for your informative post. Moms all over the world will be very happy :-)

Hey David,
That's a very interesting Apollo collection. If I ever see a part of an Apollo spaccraft at a yard sale, I'll give you a call.

Steve, Thanks for holding up my book in this video. It certainly took me a lot longer than making your book.

I know many high-end collectors who use Blurb to create documentation of their collections. Here is my collection. http://www.apolloartifacts.com/

Thanks!

Here's the answer from the blurb site:

How do I remove the Blurb logo from my book?

We know you love Blurb. We also know that sometimes you may not want our logo on your book. All standard Blurb books are printed with the Blurb logo on the copyright page and final page, but our Custom Logo Upgrade lets you add your own branding or go “logo-free.”
Here’s how you go logo free:
Click on the Blurb logo where it appears in your book.
Select “Use Custom Logo/No Logo” from the pop-up window.
Leave the area blank (do not add any image) and your book will be printed without a Blurb logo. (Note: This will affect your pricing.)

Great presentation, Steve. I needed this more than you know. Was wondering if the physical (printed) book has Blurb's branding on it? Keep up the fabulous work, I''m following you (Twitter)!

Hi, Steve

Yeah, I heard they're getting distributed big-time in Canada. In the US, I think it's all the wrangling with the carriers that's holding them up. We're the third world for mobile, for sure.

Of course, what I'd like to know is if all that widespread distribution in Canada also translates to faster and more local service/replacement. These are expensive, sensitive devices. Things WILL go wrong, and having to wait up to a month to get your phone back is unacceptable. Until they lick that, they won't be getting my business.

I am also a retired Magician.... i retired 34 years ago at age 10.... but took magic very seriously for 5 years and kept going to the Tannen's Magic convention almost every year for almost 20 years. And, if your dad's shop of choice was Hank Lee's.... then, indeed, he did shop at a one of the rare REAL Magic shops... Hank Lee's and Tannen's [in NYC] are two of the great shops.

BTW, Sweetie & I would still love to have you guest star on a BedVlogs sometime. We visit Boston all the time [we are both touring National Slam Poets when not BedVlogging]
