@Holly - What would a Gen Y list be without your blog?

@Zandria - I enjoyed getting acquainted with your blog, and you definitely deserve recognition for your efforts.

@Brian - I already answered your e-mail, but I wanted to thank you again for your kind words. I look forward to getting acquainted with your blog. Have you considered checking out Brazen Careerist? It’s a great resource of countless Gen Y blogs!

@Rebecca - I enjoyed your Gen Y blogs to watch, and will definitely consider it your submission for this month’s top Gen Y Blogs!

The ballots are starting to roll in, but if you haven’t submitted on yet, by all means, send them in!

Just so you know, your list inspired my Nine Gen Y blogs to watch in 09. You can consider my 10 blogs on the list as the ones I consider the Top Gen Y blogs. Fun!

Wow, exciting! Best wishes and keep us updated

Great List!

This is what I’ve been looking for. I’ve found it difficult to find other blogs directed towards Gen Y to network with.

cheers,
Brian

I’m very honored to be included in such a list. Thank you!

Thanks for the nod, Ryan! Both WorkLoveLife & myself appreciate it.

@Tiffany - You know I love the work you consistently do, and you should be recognized for it.

@Aidan - Looking forward to your ballot, and something feels wrong about me including my own blog, but other people are certainly welcome to.

@Nick - To be completely honest, I was unfamiliar with your blog. I will take a look and if it is targeted at Millennials I will be happy to include it in the mix. I saw that the most recent posts were Millenial-targeted so you are probably in good shape.

@Rich - Nothing. I think your blog is phenomenal, and just suggested it to Mitch Joel as a blog to watch in 2009.

The reason I didn’t include it was because I compiled blogs that were focused on the Millenial audience, not necessarily just Millenial authors. I felt like your blog had a lot larger reach including anyone looking to build a community. In any event, I’d be happy to discuss it with you (and work out a compromise), and just catch up in general!

Crikey. I’ve really plummeted off the lists. What would you recommend I do to make my blog better?

Reply | Original | Permalink | | Tweet

Bummer to not be included!

But thanks for compiling a list of the best blogs! I definitely will read up on these.

[…] list of his favourite Gen Y blogs, as well as others that come highly recommended, in the hopes of paring the 35 shortlisted ones down to a “Top 10″ of sorts. For some reason, I’m on that list. So are a few other blogs I read regularly (and really […]

I completely understand. I am a native Houstonian, and have a great life in the city with my husband and dogs. We have a beautiful home, lots of friends, etc.

My husband is transferring to Denver, and we have listed our home. We have friends in Denver, however, I am terrified to leave my current digs. . .

Good point. I’m not a big fan of having a team composed of people who see themselves mostly as cogs in some machine. Yes, it’s important that they contribute to the team, probably in a particular role, but I want them to feel that their own individual contribution is meaningful and special as well.

(Oh, by the way, you forgot “Ryan Stephens Marketing”. I hear that that blog’s pretty decent… It definitely deserves at least an honourable mention!)

Thanks for including me, Ryan!

Expect a ballot from me in the near future… there’s a lot on this list that I haven’t read yet, so I want to take a bit of time to check them out!

Ryan,
Thanks for including me again on the list! Interested to see how things end up ranking out! Hope all is going well for you this year

@Joseph - You’ve been added to the blogroll, and thanks again for the link love!

@Valeria - If I am taking the time to read all of it anyway, I might as well be aggregating and sharing good content to others that may not have the time to read as much (though perhaps I should spend less time reading and more time posting).

I am definitely learning a lot from reading your blog, and most of the others included in my blogroll!

Thank you very much for the information on the Penguins and the Alouettes (who I was unfamiliar with). I will definitely look more into both of these teams and the way they approach acessibility of their athletes. Both are solid potential talking points when I have discussions with clients in the sports realm.

I hope that all is well with you. I have been glad to see you back on the grind with Two Notes Ahead.

I don’t have much to add to your list — sports aren’t anywhere near the top of my unwritten list of personal strengths — but two teams that understand the point of athlete accessibility are the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Montreal Alouettes.

The Penguins had Sidney Crosby, their coach, and 8 other players hand-deliver season tickets to 35 randomly selected ticket holders earlier this year.

The Alouettes do over 600 public appearances a year… which is about 1.7 appearances a day for an entire year, many at schools, churches, and other community-hubs. And they sell out most (probably all, but I don’t know FOR SURE) of their games.
