That family simply looks to beautiful to be treated badly by the world. Don't ya just want to give them a big hug? :)

Thanks David.

Good luck to Daniela. I hope this will make things a little easier going through what must be a tough time. A by-product of this effort is another case study lending credibility to the compassion and usefulness of online community.

this is so awesome! i saw the first example of this with "tweetsgiving" and was inspired to create "tweetuplift" for xmas. if people are still trying to define what social media's all about, let this be proof that it's a community of real people with real hearts who want to help others in need. thanks, david, for giving so many people an opportunity to give.

Armano and Belinda,

Am hoping Daniela and her sweet family will be able to start anew quickly. My Mom (who is terminally ill) insisted on contributing along side me. Am hoping the "Chip In" went through. We did not use Paypal. =(

Am go proud of Twitter users...This is exactly why I love doing Community work. =)

God Bless your efforts...Heart!

God Bless Daniela and her family. Praying that she finds a good job, emotional healing, good people to walk along side her...Wholeness and happy children!

Absolutely incredible - not only have you helped a family in need, but you've proven again how powerful it is when just one person stands up to say "I will make a difference."

You have.

Imagine what else is possible.

David, wonderful idea. In honor of women everywhere who have been abused physically, mentally, or emotionally. I donated to your friend in honor of my friend, who didn't leave. Tell your friend she made the right choice.

More than happy to help this cause. It takes an amazing woman to have the courage to get out of this type of situation and work towards a better life with such limited resources. God Bless Daniela and her family.

Please tell Daniela and her family that we can't change the past, but we can only hope to help their family have a better future. David, it's wonderful that you have taken them into your home, and used this vehicle for something truly meaningful.

peace,
