I've seen Little Man a couple of times, actually, yeah.

Well, I've seen it the whole way through only once, but there was a period of time around a year ago when it was on TV a lot, and so I'd catch little bits of it here and there. It's really very disturbing.

You've actually seen Little Man? How much do you want to bet that the reviewer was counting on the fact that no one had seen Little Man.

That dog's going to give me nightmares!

Ha! We do that too with Rudy. In fact, we've sort of developed in to a whole wolf family, complete with spontaneous howling around the house. He loves it. We've even adopted Maddy in to the wolf family when she's stayed with us.

Now we just need the smallest horse!

When we're reading stories about wolves, Penelope and I like to joke that that's how Maddy sees herself: as a proud, strong wolf, as opposed to a funny little ratty terrier.

It's not nice to laugh at a dog, I guess, but it's fun.

Sometimes when Rudy is sleeping, he has dreams where he's that dog.

what's funny is that, for a split second, i thought that was you and mena. but then i realised you'd have the good sense not to match that guy's facial hair.

I wonder how many people invite him in to talk at length about the faith, just so they can hang out with him for a while. I think I'd be too tempted to ask questions like "So is this connection between you and all living things and God what you were referring to when you wrote Cream?"

The Space Mountain one was definitely a winner. I wish Mena could have worked "Blood and Treasure" into this caption -- that's my favorite recent phrase.

Steve: yeah, that was also one of my favorites. :)

Mine was the one about you refusing to ride Space Mountain unless you had your own car. I wish Mena had photoshopped in some champagne and ho's.

So cute, but what is your little gold-digger actually doing?

This is such a classic moment in cinema. This scene clearly stood out the first time I saw the movie - the way it transmits fear and makes you feel scared for the other guy is just unreal.

When I was 10 or 11, I dressed up as Joe Elliot a la the "Photograph" video. (I had the hair for it, too.)

Ben, I don't mean to bother you and Mena, but I know you both are busy and I'm using every channel I can to reach you in this short week before this important election.

In 2004, you and Mena posted my Typepad Republican Switchers blog to eyebeam, and that helped it get tons of traffic right before the election.

A friend and I just updated it for this election, and think it will be a great last-week strategy, especially for folks like Mena's mom (which I just happened to see right now on Twitter.)

If you can help spread the word in some way, asking folks to pass it on to the undecideds and conservatives in their lives (esp. in toss-up states) that would be wonderful.

Thanks for your consideration!

P.S. I have several blogs on Typepad:

Ha! I was there, shooting, and had a unused +1, too. At some point I think we all looked at each other and our brains were melted by Kevin Barnes.
