Your plan is all wrong, you should buy some triple shorts and hedge with some ultra longs.

I completely agree, other reasons I encourage others to be open:

* By sharing your idea over and over again other people's feedback will help you refine it and the way you pitch it.
* Secrecy is not a winning strategy. If you can't say why you'd still win if someone else executed on the same idea, you're going to lose anyway.

A post I wrote on the matter: http://brycebaril.com/post/54615646/stealth

Was that verse from "Paradise City" or "Sweet Child O Mine"?

I suffer greatly from #1 which creates failure before the idea gets out of the idea stage. I can't do everything that's associated with a new venture and rather than recruiting others to the cause, I let the idea languish and contemplate 'acquiring' the skills that I'm lacking. Obviously, that doesn't work out well at all.

Time for a new path...

You are really throwing off the average with this gibberish.

Re-reading my comment, realizing it needs a clarification to "seven average replies."

I think I would pay money to hear someone jibber jabber for 10 hours...it is a lost art.

a what point do you determine that the idea isn't worthwhile (assuming you keep overcoming hurdles, as you insinuate)? google was turned down many times, before finding the right person who believed in their idea. there has to be a point where you bail on an idea, where is it?

In the case of Vista, right now.

In the context of this page... man, that IS poetry!

Excellent post - almost poetry.

I will be hosting a seminar, where I will request your money, while I wear a ski mask and jibber jabber for 10 hours about myself and how my family "almost took control" of the NYC street lending business.

Invite will be sent shortly.

That's funny, because...

Once, I set out to become a poet

I got so enthralled, I bought 6 books on the subject.

Unfortunately, the 4th chapter was referencing Latin, which I didn't know

So I found something else that excited me instead.

I forget what that was...

People are generally more narcissistic in Los Angeles, and most of those 10 rules above don't apply to narcissists. Don't get me wrong, I agree with the list, but it's not an LA list.
